Hi everyone i was making a project and wanted to know how i can make a cd autorun?

and i have heard that computer drives also can be made autorun is that true?

Hi nisha for making a CD or a drive autorun you have to make a file in that location which you want it to autorun.

Name that file Autorun.inf
In that file write commands [Autorun]
open == somefile.exe or somefile.txt //this will make that file appear when ever someone tries to open that drive or cd when double clicked.
icon == nameOfIcon.ico //this will instal a icon to that cd or a drive.
After doing these thing Install that inf file by right click.

and nisha if u want to enable the cd run option and device manager den
the follow the steps

start-->>run-->>type regedit and press enter

Windows registry will open-->>Move to here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\CDRom

1) To disable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 0
2) To enable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 1.
3)Restart your computer.Done
